George Maciunas war farbenblind und sein grafischer Stil zeigte sich überwiegend in Designs von Schwarz auf Weiß oder Schwarz auf einem zufällig gewählten Farbton. Bedeutende Ausnahmen sind die drei Flaggen-Poster, in denen die Kombination von Typografie und Farbe nationale Symbole darstellt. Als grafisches Paradigma des Anti-Kriegsprotestes erhielt Maciunas’ Poster U.S.A. Surpasses All the Genocide Records zu den Lebzeiten des Künstlers eine größere Verbreitung – wenn auch anonym – als jedes andere seiner Werke.

George Maciunas was colour-blind and his graphic style was predominantly shown in designs from black on white or black on a randomly chosen colour. Significant exceptions are the three flag posters, in which the combination of typography and colour represents national symbols. As a graphic paradigm of anti-war protest, Maciunas‘ U.S.A. Surpasses All the Genocide Records poster was more widely distributed – albeit anonymously – than any other of his works during the artist’s lifetime.
